چکیده
Abstract Supported Fe‐doped Pd‐nanoparticles (NPs) are prepared via soft transformation of a PdFe‐metal oraganic framework (MOF). The thus synthesized bimetallic PdFe‐NPs supported on FeO x @C layers, which essential for developing well‐defined and distributed small NPs, 2.3 nm with 35% metal loading. They used as bifunctional nanocatalysts the electrocatalytic water splitting process. display superior mass activity oxygen evolution reaction (OER) hydrogen (HER), both in alkaline acid media, compared those obtained benchmarking platinum HER catalyst, ruthenium, iridium oxide OER catalysts. also exhibit outstanding stability against sintering that can be explained by protecting role graphitic carbon layers provided organic linker MOF. Additionally, performance monometallic Pd/C NPs points to synergetic effect induced Fe–Pd interactions facilitates reaction. This is additional characterization prior post electrolysis TEM, XRD, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman revealing dispersed PdFe promote between Pd Fe, most likely Pd–O–Fe active centers.

The pyrochlore solid solution (Na(0.33)Ce(0.67))2(Ir(1-x)Ru(x))2O7 (0≤x≤1), containing B-site Ru(IV) and Ir(IV) is prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and used as a catalyst layer for electrochemical oxygen evolution from water at pH<7. The materials have atomically mixed Ru and Ir and their nanocrystalline form allows effective fabrication of electrode coatings with improved charge densities ov...
متن کاملUltrathin CdSe in Plasmonic Nanogaps for Enhanced Photocatalytic Water Splitting
Enhanced plasmonic fields are a promising way to increase the efficiency of photocatalytic water splitting. The availability of atomically thin materials opens up completely new opportunities. We report photocatalytic water splitting on ultrathin CdSe nanoplatelets placed in plasmonic nanogaps formed by a flat gold surface and a gold nanoparticle. The extreme field intensity created in these ga...
متن کاملTiO2 nanotubes with ultrathin walls for enhanced water splitting.
We demonstrate, for the first time, the synthesis of titania nanotubes with ultrathin (3-5 nm) wall thickness. As revealed by the incident photon-to-current collection efficiency (IPCE) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements, the ultrathin walls, less than the charge carrier diffusion length, were essential to ensure fast and efficient charge carrier collection.

متن کاملControllable reduced black titania with enhanced photoelectrochemical water splitting performance.
Black titania prepared by metal-reduction methods is systematically studied and found the best controllable Mg-reduction method. Colored titania products from white, light blue, dark blue, to black were obtained with a crystalline/amorphous core-shell structure. The black titania shows a five times higher H2 production rate in photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting.
